The SWIETELSKY department of civil engineering East has successfully completed the construction project at Montecuccoliplatz in Vienna-Hietzing on schedule – a project that posed the highest technical and organizational demands on the team and is now regarded as another prime example of successful residential construction.
From supermarket to modern living
On the site of a former supermarket branch, a contemporary municipal building was created, which SWIETELSKY successfully implemented as the general contractor on behalf of WIGEBA Wiener Gemeindewohnungs Baugesellschaft m.b.H. The result is impressive: 62 modern apartments, a building management unit, and a commercial space for a local supplier – harmoniously integrated into an existing residential complex by Wiener Wohnen.
Added value for all generations
The project offers much more than just living space: The ground floor features a generously designed communal area with a laundry room that invites residents to linger and connect. Additionally, a publicly accessible playground for small children and youth, as well as an underground garage with bicycle parking spaces and technical rooms, were built. This has created a well-rounded living experience for all age groups.
Building in a residential environment
Implementing a construction project in the middle of a busy residential complex requires special sensitivity and meticulous planning. The cramped conditions and the close coordination with Wiener Wohnen and the residents posed exceptionally high demands on our team – both logistically and communicatively. Through continuous dialogue among all parties involved and professional collaboration, the project was executed smoothly and to the satisfaction of all project partners.
With commitment, sensitivity, and strong team spirit, our employees have created a successful residential project – for the city of Vienna, its residents, and future generations.
