The SWIETELSKY subsidiary has realized the eco-logistics center in Waldviertel for the herb expert SONNENTOR.
The new warehouse is 3000 square meters in size and 19 meters high. There are a total of 8500 pallet spaces for spices, herbs, and teas. Due to the short construction time from August to December 2021, all wall elements, including the wooden facade, were prefabricated in the Fessl Holzbauhalle. At that time, the concrete structure was in the initial phase. The delivery of the large-area elements to the construction site was carried out by special transport. The order volume amounts to around two and a half million euros net.

The herb and spice expert from Sprögnitz (Lower Austria) relies on regional partners for this first part of the logistics center. Compliance with ecological standards is a priority. In addition to the use of wood as a building material, a photovoltaic system on the roof ensures sustainable electricity generation.
