Innovative construction in Altaussee: The new community center is being built

29.07.2024

Altaussee, known for its picturesque lake and breathtaking mountain backdrop, is getting a new community center – a significant project for the entire community. SWIETELSKY is proud to realize this endeavor and thus make a substantial contribution to the development of the region.

Project details at a glance:

  • Demolition of existing building
  • Extension: Over 1,000 m² (event center & café)
  • Renovation of existing building: Over 1,550 m² partially renovated
  • Excavation: Approximately 4,500 m³
  • Concrete: Approximately 850 m³
  • Shell construction time: 16 weeks planned

Challenges: Tight space conditions due to the use of the spa park for events and the continuous fire access to the neighboring kindergarten during the construction period.

Sustainability measures:

  • Close collaboration with AG/ÖBA and tenderers to develop a sustainable concept for surface infiltration under paved areas.
  • Use of reclaimed water for irrigating the spa park over an area of approximately 6,500 m² through controlled introduction of rainwater.
  • Special concept for excavation safety due to the protection of the maple trees located on site.

Digitalization and internal collaboration:

  • Contract review by the legal department under the leadership of Birgit Schlager.
  • Close internal collaboration between Swietelsky AG; calculation Graz and implementation OBL Rottenmann.
  • Pilot project for digital construction files in collaboration with DCS Vienna
  • Photo documentation using modocu.
  • Valuable contributions from colleagues in Vienna, Carinthia, and Tyrol, connected through the seminar Construction!Leadership.
