LINZ/VIENNA, 01.04.2023 – Peter Krammer, previously Strabag COO, takes over as CEO of Swietelsky AG

Since the beginning of the year, Peter Krammer has been a member of the board of Swietelsky AG. As of April 1, 2023, he succeeds long-time CEO Karl Weidlinger. Supervisory Board Chairman Günther Grassner stated: “We chose Peter Krammer because he is not only the most qualified person for this crucial position in the company, but he also knows Swietelsky very well from his previous work and has a solid internal network. Our experiences in the first joint discussions reinforce our choice. We are convinced that Peter Krammer will secure the successful course of Swietelsky – despite challenging conditions – in the long term.”

Peter Krammer himself sees the company at the transition from a very successful era to a new time. “As the half-life of innovations becomes shorter and the conditions change rapidly, we need to adapt our structures and processes. We must adjust the focus of our business activities and penetrate new, modern fields of business – such as those that are emerging with the energy transition,” said the top manager. “Together with my board colleagues and the dedicated team at Swietelsky, we will lead the upcoming transformation process to success,” Krammer is convinced.
