August Weichselbaumer will join the management team as a member of the board.
The supervisory board of Swietelsky AG successfully completed the board appointments for the period starting in April 2023 on June 20. In the recently significantly grown company and against the backdrop of the expected challenges, the leadership responsibility will be distributed among five board members instead of the previous four.
As reported, Peter Krammer will take over as chairman of the board. Alongside him, Klaus Bleckenwegner (International), Peter Gal (Railway Construction), and Harald Gindl (Finance, Common Services) will remain in their positions. Long-time SWIETELSKY manager August Weichselbaumer is newly joining the board and will take responsibility for the Austrian home market of the SWIETELSKY Group.
Chairman of the supervisory board Dr. Günther Grassner expressed his satisfaction: “With the appointment of August Weichselbaumer, another highly qualified internal capacity has been gained as a board member, completing the management team for the period starting in April 2023. SWIETELSKY is thus timely and optimally prepared for future challenges.”
Weichselbaumer has been with the company since 1999 and is the head of commercial construction operations. He has forty years of industry experience in operational leadership roles at the top construction companies in Austria. His long-standing interface role between the corporate board on one hand and branch management and managing directors of the subsidiaries on the other hand makes him well-suited as the future board member for the Austrian business.
