A production site with office space and a technology center is being established in Fürnitz (Carinthia) on a building area of around 3800 square meters.
The SWIETELSKY branch in Carinthia/East Tyrol is building an innovation center in Fürnitz as the general contractor. The client, Mechatronic Systemtechnic GmbH, is a world-leading provider of automation devices for handling semiconductor wafers. Construction work began in mid-May. "Due to the existing soil conditions, deep foundations with rammed columns had to be carried out under the building in advance," says project manager Tatjana Kuester.
Production areas, break rooms, changing rooms, and technical rooms are being created on the ground floor and first floor. The office spaces will move into the second floor. The technology center will be set up in the attic. Additionally, visitors will be welcomed in the two-story glass extension with an open atrium. From the second floor, employees can access a terrace. The entire roof area and the covered parking spaces will be used for the installation of photovoltaic systems. Well drilling for the groundwater heat pump has already been carried out. Completion is planned for the end of November 2023.
