SWIETELSKY revolutionizes residential construction with component activation in double wall systems

At Bergsteiggasse 5 in the 17th district of Vienna, the SWIETELSKY branch Hochbau Ost is setting new standards and pioneering in construction. For the first time in Austria, the team is integrating innovative component activation in a double-wall construction.

What does this mean? The installation of heating and cooling pipes in ceiling elements is already known. However, these conventional solutions reach their limits in tight construction methods and coffin lid constructions in urban residential buildings.

Austrian Premiere in the Construction Industry

The team led by group construction manager Konrad Baumhauer and site manager Manuel Kreutzer faced the challenge of equipping cramped attic apartments with sufficient heating and cooling capacity. The solution: In collaboration with partners from MABA Fertigteilindustrie GmbH and KE KELIT, the project team has integrated concrete core activation in double walls for the first time in Austria, which closes off the space as a coffin lid.

Thus, the client FAMILIENWOHBAU and the future residents are looking forward to a suitably tempered apartment without having to sacrifice comfort.
