The SWIETELSKY general contractor construction of the branch OÖ realized the project together with the branch structural engineering NÖ and Bgld.
In a construction time of only 14 months, a modern school building in timber frame construction was erected according to the plans of architect Katharina Maul. At the opening, NÖ Education Director Karl Fritthum said: “Living, laughing, learning are provided here in the most modern tourism school in Austria; a showcase school where collaboration between students and teachers is lived with foresight and openness in a social togetherness.” The symbolic handover of the keys to the principal Barbara Sablik-Baumgartner was carried out by the Raiffeisen financing group through Christoph Haiden and Martin Diesner, branch managers of the SWIETELSKY branch office for structural engineering in Lower Austria and Burgenland.
The school building is characterized by a pleasant room climate as well as light-flooded rooms and modern, practically equipped classrooms. The special features of this timber construction project lie in the complex detail execution and the connection of various wooden elements: timber frame construction, BSP/CLT wall and ceiling elements, ribbed ceilings, and wood-concrete composite ceilings.
