Track renewal between Brugelette and Tourpes: An innovative project by SWIETELSKY Rail Benelux
21.08.2024SWIETELSKY Rail Benelux will carry out a significant renewal project on the Belgian high-speed line this summer. Between August 12 and 30, around 50 employees – on behalf of the Belgian railway manager Infrabel – will renew 18 kilometers of tracks on the HSL line from Brussels to Paris and London. This work will take place on the section between Brugelette and Tourpes.
Technological Innovation and Precision
For this project, SWIETELSKY is using state-of-the-art technologies. The RU800 renewal train, the 09-4X tamping machine, and the EM-SAT 120 measuring train will be employed to efficiently and precisely renew ballast, sleepers, and rails. Notably, the use of the Pandrol fastening system, which is exclusively used in Belgium and France, is highlighted.
Challenge of High Speed
The work requires the highest precision, as high-speed trains on this route operate at about 300 kilometers per hour. Even the slightest unevenness can have significant impacts. Our team meets this challenge with expertise and commitment to ensure the quality and safety of the track.
