The first planting measures at the parking garage in Linz began in fall 2023, and the project was completed in spring 2024. At the heart of the redesign is extensive facade greening: various climbing aids enable a diverse selection of climbing plants, creating an attractive green envelope with seasonal highlights such as autumn coloration. On the top parking deck, planted troughs will provide natural shade in the future while giving the urban structure a distinctly greener presence.

The overall goal of the project is to integrate the building harmoniously into its surroundings while generating clear ecological added value. In addition to the facade planting, the outdoor areas were designed as a natural open space using native shrubs and trees to better anchor the building in its context. Evergreen, sustainable ground cover areas ensure an easy-care, robust green base, while the trough planting focuses on drought-tolerant perennials and climbing plants to support long-term resilience and natural shading.

The project is located in Linz, covers an area of approximately 3,000 m², and was implemented over a period of 22 weeks, based on an external planning concept.
