Montecuccoli Bauphase 02

SWIETELSKY’s Building Construction East division completed the construction project at Montecuccoliplatz in Vienna-Hietzing on schedule and successfully—an undertaking that placed the highest technical and organizational demands on the team and now stands as another showcase example of successful residential construction.

From supermarket to modern living

On the site of a former supermarket branch, a contemporary municipal housing development was built, which SWIETELSKY successfully delivered as the general contractor on behalf of WIGEBA Wiener Gemeindewohnungs Baugesellschaft m.b.H. The result speaks for itself: 62 modern apartments, an on-site building management/caretaker unit, and a commercial space for a local supplier—harmoniously integrated into an existing Wiener Wohnen residential complex.

Added value for every generation

The project offers far more than living space alone: on the ground floor, a generously designed communal area with a laundry room invites residents to spend time and connect with one another. In addition, a publicly accessible playground for toddlers and young people was created, along with an underground garage with bicycle parking spaces and technical/utility rooms. This created a thoroughly successful living environment for all age groups.

Building in an occupied environment

Implementing a construction project in the middle of a busy residential complex requires particular sensitivity and extremely careful planning. The limited space and the close coordination with Wiener Wohnen and local residents placed exceptionally high demands on our team—both logistically and in terms of communication. Thanks to ongoing dialogue among everyone involved and professional cooperation, the project was carried out smoothly and to the satisfaction of all project partners.

With commitment, tact, and strong team spirit, our employees have created a successful housing project—for the City of Vienna, its residents, and future generations.
