SWIETELSKY is currently delivering a major healthcare construction project in Upper Austria at the Pyhrn-Eisenwurzen Hospital in Steyr.
The project includes the extension of Building 1, from the basement to the fifth floor, as well as the construction of a new steel structure for the helicopter landing pad on the sixth floor. In total, 87 tonnes of steel were installed, creating an area of approximately 650 m².
In addition to the extension, key areas of the hospital—including the emergency department, intensive care unit, central operating theatre area, sterile supply department (AEMP), and technical infrastructure—are being adapted and modernized.
All work is being carried out while the hospital remains fully operational, requiring the highest level of care with regard to hygiene, dust control, and noise reduction.
This project is creating modern, sustainable structures that will ensure optimal patient care and excellent working conditions for medical staff.
